a MG 1500 / Spitfire supercharger kit

Long awaited Supercharger kit for the 1500 and 1300 type Triumph engines used in the MG Midget Triumph Spitfire, Herald, Dolomite etc. HIstorically this engine has had until now very limited availability of tuning parts. 

Using a specially modified and rebuilt Eaton  M45 supercharger with manifolds and pulleys made to suit. Choice of twin choke  40 dcoe or single barrel 40CV* Harley davidson type carburettors (Su inlet flange is available but requires bonnet bulge to clear) . Suitable for stock or lightly modded engines, running 6-7 psi boost this kit increases the power by approx 25 bhp /4500 rpm and the torque by 30 ft lbs at 3500 rpm. 

*Harley single barrel 40CV type carb is like an improved SU , it has a pump jet, rubber diaphram for the piston, its relatively easy to tune working on similar principles and was designed low rpm high torque engines unlike the usual motorbike carbs. Better for fuel economy, and sub 1500 rpm torque v the DCOE type carb.
